Peugeot Returns to Electric Scooters
Peugeot plans a return to the electric scooter market by 2011 with its E-Vivacity scooter. While green rides are all the rage the past few years, the latest planned foray into electric scooter production is actually the second for the French manufacturer, as it made the first mass-produced electric scoot with its very own Scoot’elec that launched way back in 1996

Scooters help guards step up patrol

Site supervisor Patty McCallister used to take up to 20,000 steps during a single shift, writing tickets for illegal parking, looking out for vandals and generally keeping the peace.

E is for electric: The BMW C1-E concept scooter
When BMW released their original C1 scooter in 2000 nobody had seen anything like it on the road. And not many C1s were seen on the road after it was released either. In the three years that BMW produced the scooter-with-a-roll-cage, only about 12000 were made. The riding public didn’t quite know what to make of the C1 and BMW never sold as many as it had hoped. Now BMW has brought the urban runabout back as the C1-E concept vehicle with an electric drivetrain. Could it be the C1’s time has come?

Campus police switch to 'green' scooters
Security officer Charles Taylor patrols the San Antonio College campus on a T3 Motion vehicle. Some on campus have taken to calling him RoboCop.
But that's what some students at San Antonio College like to call him when he glides across campus on his T3 Motion, an electric upright scooter that's popping up on college campuses, malls and grocery stores across the nation. Somewhat akin to the Segway PT, the T3 is designed specifically for law enforcement with a three-wheeled base, storage space, lights, sirens and the ability to turn on a dime.
